2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Final Edition unveiled
The mystery new member in the AMG family that was teased earlier this week on their Facebook page is not that new at all, more like a special edition to us.
The SLS AMG GT Final Edition will be limited to 350 units globally with power coming from the same 583bhp 6.3-litre V8 found in the regular model. No performance specs were released, but we are sure they are identical or almost identical to the standard model, which does 0-62mph in 3.7sec, 0-124mph in 11.2sec, while the top speed is limited to 197mph.
The SLS AMG GT Final Edition will be offered as a gullwing coupe and open top roadster.
Main updates include carbon fibre bonnet and front splitter, redesigned front bumper, new brakes, updated rear wing, carbon fibre side mirror housings.
Mercedes has already started work on the new model codenamed c190, that will replace the SLS AMG. New model will be smaller and lighter with power coming most likely from 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with around 500bhp.
The SLS AMG GT Final Edition will debut next week alongside the S 65 AMG at the Los Angeles and Tokyo motor shows.
