2013 Mercedes-Benz S-Class – First Official Technical Details
We have seen the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222) with very little details, but until now technical details have been limited. Thanks to Mercedes-Benz Passion, we are bringing you now the first technical graphics along with details of the next-generation S-Class, which is going to be one of the safest cars on the road when it arrives next Spring.
One of the highlights clearly is the radar based Distronic PLUS with Steering Assist, which helps the driver to maintain the desired distance in stop and go traffic. With the help of Steering Wizard, the camera detects lane markings and vehicles ahead and makes the car drive at slower speeds.
The Brake Assist PLUS with crossover wizard uses camera and radar sensors, helping to prevent rear-end collisions.
The new Adaptive High beam Assist PLUS allows for glare free high beams.
The Traffic sign assistant now offers the detection of overtaking and entry.
The Night View Assist PLUS warns against animals and people on the road.
The new Parking Assistant will park your car automatically, taking over even the brakes.
Other notable features include seat belts with airbags and LED technology everywhere – there are no standard light bulbs anywhere in the interior.
