We have already seen the next-generation Audi S3 undisguised testing around the Nürburgring race track. This time another red prototype was spotted testing in the Alps, revealing the new interior with S3 steering wheel, speedo until 300km/h and S3 badge on the navigation screen.

Just like all the current S models, the new S3 will have twin exhausts on each side. Other changes compared to the standard A3 include addition bumper vents, dark grilles instead of chrome ones, deeper side skirts and an integrated rear diffuser.

Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with around 280bhp. 0-62mph comes in around 5.5sec and the top speed is electronically limited to 155mph.

New third-generation S3 will be priced little over £30,000 when it goes on sale after the Paris debut.
