Report: Bugatti Working on a 1600 hp Veyron Super
Ferrari and McLaren are both launching their new supercars next year. According to Automobile Mag, Bugatti is not staying behind.
Even though the company is not ready to launch a successor to the Veyron yet, they are planning to introduce an extreme Veyron Super at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
While nothing is official, the Veyron Super will feature an upgraded 8.0- or 9.6-litre engine that produces an impressive 1,600 horsepower. The Veyron Super is also rumoured to weigh 250kg less than the 1,200 hp Veyron Super Sport, meaning it could weigh around 1,600 kg – a perfect one to one weight and power ratio.
With all that power and shaved weight, the Veyron Super is rumoured to reach 62mph in just 1.8 seconds and a top speed of 288mph (463km/h).
Price? Very likely around £2 million.
