Land Rover has revealed the Discovery Vision concept in New York. It previews the upcoming Discovery family of vehicles due to appear from 2015, starting with a smaller Discovery to replace the Freelander and followed by a larger model to replace the current Discovery 4.
Saleen Automotive announced their electric car project last year, confirming in late January that the mystery model is based on the Tesla Model S.
Opel will focus on crossovers as part of its product push to boost sales and return to profit. “We will move more into crossover segments in general, because that’s where customers are going,” Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann said on the sidelines of the Geneva auto show last month.
Bugatti Veyron went into production in 2005, and last year the 400th model was sold, leaving just 50 examples left to buy. Currently there are probably 30-40 cars left and with the current rate of roughly 50 cars sold a year, the final Veyron is expected to roll off the assembly line in late 2014 or in early 2015.
Smart has introduced a new Grandstyle version of the ForTwo. Priced from £10,300, the Grandstyle comes with Artico artificial leather upholstery, 15-inch alloy wheels, black or titanium coloured detailing, a touch-screen audio system and LED running lights.
