Lamborghini has unveiled a new Gallardo GT3 FL2 race car for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. The Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 is developed in cooperation with Reiter Engineering and Lamborghini’s R&D motorsport department.

Based on the recently unveiled Gallardo facelift, the new GT3 FL2 features ’24-hour’ brakes(meaning we can see at very likely at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Nurburgring 24 Hours), improved engine cooling, reduced fuel consumption, a new front splitter, a rear carbon diffuser based on that developed for the Super Trofeo and an overall improved power to weight performance. Compared to the previous Gallardo GT3, the new model is 25kg lighter.

The GT3 FL2 is now available to order priced at €320,000 (roughly £273,000) plus taxes. First teams will get their cars in March.
