Citroen unveils a luxury DIVINE DS concept

Citroen Unveils Divine DS Concept Car

The premium DS line-up for Citroen has proven to be quite successful. Since the DS 3 was launched in 2010, the French automaker has sold more than 500,000 DS models and is now looking into the future with the DIVINE DS concept, which will debut next month at the Paris Motor Show.

The DIVINE DS concept does not wear the Citroen name or badge and is presented exclusively as a DS model, previewing a vision of the future for the DS brand.

The compact 4-door vehicle is roughly the same size as Citroen DS4, measuring 4.21m long and 1.98m wide.

Visually the DIVINE DS concept is quite different from current offerings from Renault, revealing a bold styling with spindly mirrors, laser headlights, hidden door handles, sharp lines and 20-inch alloy wheels.

The unique rear window is equipped with opening facets that optimise the aerodynamic performance, with one of these facets featuring a camera for enhanced rear visibility.

The futuristic interior reveals a new design called ‘Hyper-typage’, offering haute couture inspired levels of personalisation with 10.4 inch HD Touch Drive interface a holographic display. The interior also reveals partnership results from Lesage for embroidery and crystals from Swarovski.

Surprisingly the concept is not powered by an unknown futuristic electric engine, but an actual 270bhp 1.6 THP petrol engine with 330Nm of torque
