Cadillac has unveiled their first twin turbo V-Series in the form of all-new ATS-V saloon and coupe.

Going against the BMW M3 and M4, the ATS-V is distinguished from the standard model with an aggressive front fascia with a mesh grille and larger air intakes. There is also a front splitter, a ventilated carbon fibre bonnet hood, new side skirts, rear spoiler and a sporty four-tailpipe exhaust system.

All this rides on 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres.

The interior is very similar to the one found in the standard model, but does come with added carbon fibre trim, unique instrument cluster with V Series graphics and Recaro performance seats.

There are also optional Carbon Fibre and Track packages. available. The first features a more aggressive front splitter, carbon fibre bonnet vent trim and a carbon fibre rear diffuser.

The Track package consists of Carbon Fibre package, a new lightweight battery and a Performance Data Recorder.

Biggest news is of course under bonnet, where the Cadillac engineers have placed a new 455bhp 3.6-litre twin-turbo V6 linked to either a six-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Match or an optional eight-speed automatic with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters.

Performance specs were not released, however Cadillac did mention that one of the models(likely the coupe) will accelerate from 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds before hitting a top speed of around 185 mph.

US sales will start in Spring 2015 and European sales likely in late 2015 or in early 2016.
