BMW 1 Series GT (Active Hybrid Tourer) Caught Cold Weather Testing

BMW 1 Series GT (production version of the Active Hybrid Tourer) has been caught cold weather testing in Sweden, still wearing heavy disguise and temporary lights.

The 1 Series Concept Active Tourer made its debut back in September at the Paris Motor Show, previewing the upcoming 1 Series GT.

The concept was powered by a 1.5-litre TwinPower Turbo engine and an electric motor with a combined output of 187bhp and 200Nm of torque. 0-62mph takes less than eight seconds, top speed is approximately 124mph and range on purely EV power is up to 18 miles.

The 1 Series GT will be the first BMW model with front-wheel drive and is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
