2013 Volkswagen Golf VI R Cabrio video
Even though the new seventh-generation Vokswagen Golf is already launched it will be a while until the Cabriolet arrives, especially in the hot R disguise.
Before that we will see the launch of sixth-generation Golf R Cabrio, that is expected to go on sale in early 2013, featuring LED daytime running lights, gloss black accents, an aggressive front fascia, new side skirts, dual exhaust system and Talladega-style alloy wheels.
Interior updates include embroidered leather seats, a flat-bottom steering wheel and R badging.
Final engine details have not been revealed yet, but the hot R Cabrio is expected to use a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine with around 270bhp and 350 Nm of torque. 0-62mph should come in less than six seconds and the top speed is 155 mph.
