2013 Suzuki Jimny Facelift Revealed
The Suzuki Jimny receives a package of revisions for 2013, most notably a freshened-up interior and styling tweaks.
Design changes include a new front bumper and grille design, new design bonnet shape incorporating central air intake as well as repositioning of the front fog lamps. The new front bumper design means the Jimny is now slightly longer at 3675mm, but it’s still the smallest off-roader on sale in the UK.
Inside changes are quite small and include new seat fabric trim for the SZ3, while both SZ3 and SZ4 models have new design front and rear headrests as well as ISOFIX child seat mountings fitted as standard to the rear seats.
The Jimny is powered by a 85bhp 16-valve 1.3-litre engine with 81 lb-ft of torque delivering 39.8mpg in combined cycle driving with the manual transmission (38.7mpg for the automatic).
The compact 4×4 model has sold 20,000 in the UK since its launch in 1998, and has a loyal following among owners who appreciate its genuine off-road capability and low price. Globally, the Jimny and its tiny predecessors have racked up 2.6 million sales in 43 years.
