the Elisabeth Junek Bugatti Legends Edition Veyron spotted near the factory
Bugatti Veyron has been on the market close to ten years and the total production of 450 units is soon finished.
Last summer, Bugatti unveiled the Jean-Pierre Wimille edition, the first of a six series of special editions called Les Légendes de Bugatti.
In September 2013 a Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legend ‘Jean Bugatti‘ was introduced, then in November, Legend “Meo Costantini” debuted at the Dubai Motor Show with the fourth one called Rembrandt Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse debuted erlier this year in Geneva, followed by the fifth one called Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Black Bess Legends Edition followed in April.
The last of the series called Elisabeth Junek edition has been spotted near Bugatti factory in Molsheim by photographer Stephane Heiligenstein, wearing a yellow and black livery.
Elisabeth Junek edition pays tribute to a female Czech racing driver from the 1920s, who was also known as Eliška Junková in her home country.
Just like other “Les Legendes” series models, the Elisabeth Junek edition is based on the Grand Sport Vitesse, powered by a 1183bhp 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16, enabling it to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 2.6 seconds, while the top speed is 255mph.
There are around 20 Veyrons still left and the next-generation model is expected to debut as early as next year with the updated 16-cylinder engine with a hybrid system producing around 1,500 horsepower. Top speed is expected to be over 270mph and production will be reportedly limited again to 450 units.
