Mercedes-Benz GLA three-door coupe rendered by Theophilus Chin

The Mercedes-Benz GLA hasn’t arrived yet in every Mercedes-Benz dealership but, considering all the reports in the recent month the model is most likely to be a success for the Stuttgart brand.
Probably because it’s arguably one of the best looking premium crossover/SUVs in its segment, there seem to be a lot of potential customers out there who can’t wait to get their hands on one.
Self-titled “automotive manipulator” Theophilus Chin decided to have a go at modifying the GLA into a three door coupe/crossover and the result doesn’t look half-bad if you ask us, even though it’s somewhat oddly proportioned.
If Mercedes-Benz ever decided to also make a three-door version of their smallest SUV, its only direct competitor would be the Range Rover Evoque Coupe, but considering that not even the A-Class is sporting a three-door version, the chances of seeing a GLA coupe are next to none.
What do you guys think, would a Mercedes-Benz GLA coupe make sense when the only other car with coupe features that’s currently built on the MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform actually has four doors?
