Audi A3 E-tron Plug-in Hybrid Revealed
Audi has unveiled the A3 e-tron plug-in hybrid ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
Power comes from a modified 150bhp 1.4 TFSI engine linked to an electric motor with an output of 75 kW. Combined power output is 204bhp and 350 Nm of torque. The Audi A3 e-tron can be driven with just the combustion engine, just the electric drive or in hybrid mode when both engines work together. The disc-shaped electric motor is integrated into a newly designed six-speed e-S tronic, which transfers the power to the front wheels. 0-62 mph comes in 7.6 seconds and the top speed is 138mph.
The A3 e-tron plug delivers an impressive 188.3 mpg with CO2 emissions of 35 grams per km.
In purely electric mode, the maximum range is 31 miles, while he top speed is 80 mph.
