All Future Jaguars Will Have All-Wheel Drive Option

All future Jaguar models will be offered with an AWD option, according to global brand director Adrian Hallmark.

Currently the AWD is available only on the XF and XJ with the 335bhp 3.0 V6. Both the XF and XJ were engineered as rear-wheel drive cars, but according to Autocar, Jaguar took the decision to respond to market demands from customers mainly in upper North America.

There are no more plans to equip any other current Jaguar model to all-wheel drive due to the engineering costs versus return on investment so don’t expect to see AWD on any current model, including the XJ and XF with right-hand drive.

But for future models, Jaguar will plan and engineer the AWD option into the entire lineup.
