Mercedes-Benz launched the C-Class family in 1982. Now in its fourth generation total sales of the C-Class are over 10 million units.

Just the current generation, which was unveiled in 2007 has sold more than 2.3 million saloons, estates and coupes.

The most popular engine in the current C-Class is the C 220 CDI.

Mercedes has also confirmed the next generation 2014 C-Class will be produced at plants in Bremen (Germany), East London (South Africa), Beijing (China) and Tuscaloosa (USA).
