2015 Vauxhall Corsa unveiled with Adam inspired styling
Vauxhall has unveiled the new Corsa ahead of its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in October with production to start later this year.
Even though Vauxhall calls it an all-new model it is easily recognizable as Corsa, with an updated Adam-inspired front, showing a wider grille and distinctive headlights.
New Corsa is near-identical in length to the outgoing model.
The interior is also new, revealing a three-spoke steering wheel, a gloss black trim, metallic accents and an IntelliLink infotainment system with a 7-inch display, Bluetooth connectivity and Siri Eyes Free compatibility.
The chassis is completely re-designed that has no carry-over components from the third-gen model, along with all-new suspension components. New Corsa also has a 5mm lower centre of gravity, while a reinforced, stiffer front sub-frame and new front suspension geometry offer improved handling.
The engine choices include:
- 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol with 90 and 114bhp.
- 99bhp 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol with 147 lb-ft of torque
- two naturally aspirated 1.2- and a 1.4-litre petrol units
- updated 1.3-litre CDTi diesel
Both manual and automatic transmissions are available with improved shift quality and greater efficiency.
Some of the most notable comfort and safety features include heated front seats, steering wheel and windscreen, as well as a full-size panoramic roof, Side Blindspot Alert, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, bi-xenon lights and a rear-view camera.
