Chevron Products Company released a case study demonstrating the performance of Delo 400 Multigrade SAE 15W-40 and Delo Extended Life Coolant in a CAT C-15 engine used by New Holland, Pennsylvania’s Sindall Transport.

The two products played a key role in the CAT engine reaching 1.1 million miles with minimal wear.

Tax incentives boost Chinese biodiesel imports

China’s biodiesel imports are surging, displacing local diesel sales as some trading companies take advantage of tax and trade incentives the government provides to boost usage of the blended fuel in the world’s second-largest oil consumer.

As imported biodiesel takes up more of the local market, it could cut into the market share of state-owned refiners, in turn boosting their diesel exports, industry sources said.

Oil rises above $101 as growth rebounds in China

The price of oil rebounded to above $101 a barrel Friday, boosted by a bounce in China’s economic growth and as traders awaited the release of official figures on U.S. stockpiles of crude and gasoline.

By early afternoon in Europe, benchmark crude for November delivery was up 68 cents at $101.35 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
