Which? launches car fault report tool

Consumer campaigner Which? has launched a new database of vehicle faults based on user submissions.

That means all car owners can submit problems they have suffered, building a list of common faults to bring to the attention of the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA).

Bonhams is selling one of the original ‘Blower’ Bentleys at its annual Quail Lodge auction in Carmel on 16 August during the Monterey Auto Week. It’s the 1931 4½ litre formerly owned by Charles RJ Noble, and which was one of 50 production examples produced by Bentley Motors.

A new study from the International Council on Clean Transportation details the currently available options for achieving big reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and fuel use from an easy-to-overlook source: making semi-trailers more efficient.

Heavy duty vehicles account for roughly 20 percent of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions from transportation, and about 17 percent of transportation oil use, making them a key target of opportunity for both climate and energy policy.

Edmunds.com seeks injunction against fraudulent car dealer ratings

 

Edmunds.com, a resource for car shopping and automotive information, has filed a lawsuit against Friendswood, Texas-based Humankind Design Ltd. for, among other things, fraud and breach of the Edmunds.com membership agreement.

Through its review of every car dealer rating and review submitted to Edmunds.com, the company discovered that Humankind attempted to register over 2,200 fake members on the site and tried to use them to create fraudulent content to sway car shoppers’ opinions of dealers.
