Great Wall Steed pick-up now available with six-year warranty

Press Release: Great Wall is offering a 120,000 mile/six-year warranty on its Steed pick-up. The only catch is that it’s a special off that will run out at the end of June rather than a permanent deal.

The extended six-year warranty comprises the three year/60,000 mile manufacturer warranty plus a further three year/125,000 mile powertrain extended warranty provided by Great Motor Distributors (UK) Limited.

As if Ford’s super off-road performance  lorry, the F-150 SVT Raptor, wasn’t dressed up enough, along comes a “special edition” package that will further pad the price.

Ford, Honda, Toyota make case for lower tax rates, more consistent regulations

Officials with Ford, Honda and Toyota, as well as with some key suppliers, told an American  congressional subcommittee that lower tax rates, more consistent regulations and a better-trained workforce would help ensure a strong auto manufacturing sector into the future.

The hearing, convened by the American House Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade, saw the three competitors largely in agreement in terms of the need for government not to pass along burdensome regulations and to set tax rates and incentives in a consistent manner.
