General Motors to recall 8,500 2013 Chevy Malibus


General Motors has advised the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration it is recalling certain model year 2013 Chevrolet Malibu vehicles, manufactured 6 December, 2012 through 15 January, 2013.

Toyota has announced their model line-up for the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. The biggest news is the FT-86 Open Concept, which previews a possible future development of the GT 86 sports coupe.

KIA pro_cee’ds with 201 bhp to debut at Geneva Motor Show

The jurors have also selected their favourite performance cars for the 2013 World Performance Car Award.

A five-car shortlist for the 2013 World Green Car by five industry experts was also announced.

2013 World Green Car award nominees are:

Finally there is a six-car shortlist for the 2013 World Car Design of the Year award, selected by car design specialists.

Volkswagen Golf

Each jury member will now test each car again and top three cars in each category will be announced at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The winners will be announced at a press conference at the New York Motor Show on 28 March.

The World Car of the Year Award is now in its ninth year. Last year, the Volkswagen Up! was declared the World Car of the Year.
