BMW will start the production of the i3 electric city car in Leipzig in late 2013, but not many know it all started at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, where the BMW starting line-up included two electrically powered test vehicles.

Ford blames coolant system for 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine fires


Ford Motor says that it has pinpointed the cause of overheating in the 2013 Fusion sedans and Escape crossovers with a 1.6-liter EcoBoost engine, ending a mystery that began with a big recall last week. It says the issue can be fixed with a simple software update.

Rinspeed MicroMAX EV Concept Preview Ahead of Geneva Debut


Switzerland’s Rinspeed is already famous for their future urban transportation concepts at the Geneva Motor Show. Next March in Geneva, the Swiss company will unveil a MicroMAX EV Concept, which according to Rinspeed, defines an entirely new class of vehicles.
