SEAT unveils revised Ibiza Cupra

SEAT Ibiza Cupra (1)

SEAT has revealed the revised version of the Ibiza Cupra. The Ibiza range was facelifted earlier this year and now it’s the turn of the performance version to be updated. The new model will go on sale in January priced at £18,825 but it’s available to order now.As before it’s powered by a 1.4-litre TSI engine fitted with both a turbocharger and supercharger to produce 180PS and 250Nm. This gives the Cupra a 0-62mpg time of 6.9 seconds yet thanks to its small size the official fuel economy is 47.9mpg. It sticks with the seven-speed DSG gearbox – there’s still no manual available sadly – although it does at least come with steering wheel paddle shifts.
