Ford’s 1.0-litre racer proves Size doesn’t matter


Thanks to Ford, an engine with only 1000cc is no longer an embarrassment, and is one of the fastest ways to get around a race track. Ford has created a unique road legal version of one of its latest Formula Ford racing cars, and it is now one of the fastest cars around the fearsome Nurburgring circuit.

Honda invests £267m in Swindon plant


Honda has announced a major £267m investment in its car manufacturing plant in Swindon – which has led to 500 new jobs at the factory this year.Production of the firm’s new CR-V model starts today and marks the start of the huge multi-million pound programme. The cash is the single biggest investment by the firm in over a decade.

New car registrations rise in August

Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) figures published today show the Ford Fiesta strengthened its position as the UK’s most popular car in August. Year-to-date figures for the Fiesta stand at just over 70,000 cars.

All New Mitsubishi Outlander


Mitsubishi hasn’t launched a new car for more than two years. In that same time frame Audi has rolled out no fewer than 24 new cars. So has the wait been worth it?

New Mitsubishis don’t come along very often, so this all-new Outlander is much anticipated by customers and Mitsubishi dealers alike. The Japanese maker has dumped Peugeot/Citroen, who sold a version of the previous generation Outlander, and is now going it alone.

New Ford Mondeo 1.0-litre EcoBoost unveiled


Ford has unveiled first details about the all-new Mondeo, that will be fitted with its award-winning 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine. Yes a 1.0-litre engine in a Mondeo. A decade ago this would have been an insane idea, but not today.
