McLaren 12C Can-Am Edition Racing Concept


McLaren has unveiled the hot track only 12C Can-Am Edition Racing Concept, that makes its debut this weekend at the Pebble Beach Concours D’ Elegance.

Track-only design concept weighs 1,200kg and features unique aerodynamic package with a 30 per cent increase in downforce. It is also the most powerful 12C with 630hp.

New Mercedes A-Class Priced From £18,945 – Market Launch In December


The new Mercedes A class 2012 model line up has been revealed ahead of its market launch in December. The base A 180 BlueEFFICIENCY starts from £18,945.

Five models lines (SE, Sport, AMG Sport and Engineered by AMG) will be offered, supported by two design-led packages, and a wide range of engines ranging from 109hp to 211hp. Top of the line A 250 BlueEFFICIENCY (Engineered by AMG) is priced from £28,775 and powered by 211bhp 2.0-litre petrol engine.

Land Rover factory works around the clock


The Land Rover factory in Halewood, near Liverpool started three-shift, 24-hour working yesterday for the first time in its 50-year history.

With demand for the new Evoque continuing to outstrip supply, Land Rover has trebled its Halewood workforce in just three years. The Evoque has taken 88,000 orders since its launch a year ago, although, not all of those orders have yet been fulfilled – hence the current expansion.

Unique Aston Martin DB7 V8 to be auctioned


A unique Aston Martin DB7, fitted by the factory with a 452 bhp engine from a V8 Vantage, is to be sold at the Historics at Brooklands auction on Saturday September 1st.

91 year old passes driving test


Figures from the Department of Transport show that a 91-year passed their driving test last year, together with four other people that were over 80 years old.
