Range Rovers are everywhere these days – this is self-evident – but that might not be the case with the next-generation version, due next year.Buoyed by the success of the £125,000 ultimate edition, and the horror show that was the Bentley EXP 9 F, Land Rover has decided to turn the Range Rover into a £125,000 super-luxury 4×4. Wow.

Mobility scooters becoming ‘credit crunch runabouts’


Times are so tough that some drivers are ditching their cars and using mobility scooters instead. According to The Sun, motorists are turning to the electric scooters because they don’t need fuel, tax or insurance.

Citroen DS5 Executive Hatch


Today sees Citroen’s DS5 go on sale – it’s an executive car that’s also a hatchback. And French. And a diesel-electric hybrid. Will the experiment work? Or will this be another Renault Avantime-style disaster? If you’re looking for an answer to that question, you won’t get it here – we dare not predict how well (or not) the DS5 will sell. The attractive models genuine young executive key demographic couple in the picture above seem enthused, which is a good sign.

Toyota GT86 The Cut Price Porsche Cayman


Toyota has finally told everyone how much The GT86’s options will be, on top of how much it costs. It really is the cut price Porsche Cayman we were all hoping for. And it’s a slow news day today. Two versions come to market, one with a six-speed manual, for £24,995, and t’other with a six-speed auto, for £26,495. Forget the latter, though, because buying a GT86 auto is like buying a 3D TV but never wearing the glasses.
