1964th 50 year Limited Edition 2015 Ford Mustang to be auctioned for charity
It all started in 1964 so that number has a special meaning for all Ford Mustang fans. Now celebrating the 50th anniversary the all-new Mustang is also for the first time available to order in Europe.
To celebrate the 50 years of Mustang, Ford unveiled the 50 Year Limited Edition Mustang back in April with the production to be limited to 1964 units.
The No. 1,964 of 1,964 will be autographed by top Ford executives and auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas auction in September, with all proceeds going to Get Your Heart Racing, a fundraising event supporting Edith and Benson Ford Heart & Vascular Institute.
In addition to getting a quite special looking Mustang GT, the winner will receive a VIP package to the Ford EcoBoost 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, where Mustang No. 1,964 will serve as official pace car.
The 50 Year Limited Edition model is based on the Mustang GT, featuring the Performance Package, 19-inch alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres, with power coming from a 435bhp 5.0-litre V8 with 400 lb-ft of torque.
The auction car will also come with a one-off pace car package.
